I thought I lost her

how she looks like after i fix her.
When I ask my laoban whats happening to her, he said with straight face, “I think its hardware problem, probably need to change the motherboard or worst change whole system” Omgosh no way. no no no no no no….
With faith I try to save her. I won’t give up on her just like that. I just knew her like 1 year ago. I know she still can do it. Oh please God help me.
It happens few days ago when I feel something wrong with her. Early symptom include some fonts missing. Bad voice due to missing sound driver. Some security measure problem resulting to any game that need GameGuard to run, fail to execute. I can’t remember since when I did all those stuff that made her like this. So what could be the problem?
First of all I try to check what really happen. I try to run a diagnostic. Scan from AVG and Avast shows that most of the virus is come from her D drive. When I double click the D drive folder…poof. Black-out. Black..out. Jesus, somebody messed up with her D drive. Then suddenly, something come into my mind. Now I remember that, I shared her D drive with other computer in my workplace. Wth! its my fault. I made her become like this. If I cautious enough to not enable “Allow network user to change my files”, all this thing won’t happen.
I log on other computer within the network. Transfer my important file to other place temporarily and thought that I should format only Drive D but since some of my important driver corrupt and crucial file is missing so it would be better reformat her windows drive as well. Then I restart her and begin the operation. Let hope this work.
And after long difficult stressing fresh WinXP installed and basic driver put in. She, for the second time finally open her eyes again. Hehe.. ^_^
I would never trust my laoban again. LOL
What I learn from this is that, never ever share your file with other people and allow them to change your file content. They can plant virus or keyloggers or whatever inside your drive and if u must like me, share with other people, don’t forget to turn the sharing back off. And another thing is, if you still can fix your com yourself please do so. My friends always bring their CPU to me and ask for assistant by which I can solve in few clicks. All I do is Google it like everybody else! And they call me IT Personel. Fuh…
You should charge them at least RM5 every time they ask for your assistant.

phew ~ thank god it was just a false alarm, i got cold reading through the passage. i hate the idea of losing mine too. such hassle especially !!

u use mac apple? where u download the “zoom up” icon bar?
